Amazing work! The minimalism is so appealing, can't wait to dig in more. I really appreciate the "bold" moves to avoid npm etc as well, sometimes it's better to start from scratch even if it hurts at first haha. Really cool stuff.

Elm is such a delightful language to build applications in.

What a great talk! I really like the idea that Evan doesn’t strive to popularity of the language via syntactic convenience.

_Superb_ presentation/comparison Evan! Question is: is *Elm* the _Bird_ or the _Bee_ ?
@CapitanCoder6 жыл бұрын
the bee, because of serving its purpose

Evan actually Korean script is better! Don't use Korean as an example, because it's the only written language in the world that was designed by a linguist in order to improve literacy. It's regarded as a lot simpler than other scripts!

AFAIK turkish alphabet was designed by a team of linguists as well. and along with introduction of language reforms, boosted the literacy rate from 10% to 90%

His example still works because Korean script is not strictly better than any other language. It might be easier to learn, but maybe it's not as aesthetically pleasing, or it's too different from another script and is therefore difficult to master as a second language.
