The thing that ALWAYS kills me about Caroline turning off her humanity was that she said, from the beginning, was to give her a year. She then proved she would not get out of control and kill people. Yeah, be a little meaner, but she was good. But everyone had to jump in and piss her off. So had they left her alone, none of the things she did would have happened.

Sorry jay but ur wrong. Only Damon can decide what life he wants and will make him happy. Damon isnt stupid and ur right he is incredible and was kinda meant to be a vampire...but I'd say it's only so he could be alive to meet his soulmate and finally be happy. Damon actually used to miss being human more than anything in the world..his own words from previous season.
