It's a sad song. The boys said it made them choke up a bit. They took the opportunity to show how their voices have improved. Yoshiki gave them compliments on their singing when they practiced together. When I looked up the main singer of X Japan preforming this song decades ago, he was up there too. Yoshiki's bandmate passed the month before. Apparently, he left after the song to go to the memorial. Someone said he played this song there too.

Endless Rain is never meant to be a "feel good" song though. Yoshiki wrote it in his twenties, when he still felt a lot of anger and despair, if you listen to the original you can hear the sadness pierce through you. Over the years, with many re-arrangement, this song had become The song Yoshiki would choose to perform in big stages, to mourn, to commemorate or to show unity, but it always have this sad undertone. One of the reason why the notes are so high is because Yoshiki wrote it specifically to compliment Toshi‘s (X-JAPAN's vocalist) vocal tone & range.

Hi, just wanted to say Boynextdoor Jaehyun's self-written rap is a present for Woonhak (BND maknae) who had a hard time because of his late grandfather a few days before the MAMA awards. I'm so proud of Taehyun and Heuningkai! They really sang their hearts out and they've worked hard to be able to give that performance. I knew Taehyun could do it but this is the first time I've heard this from Hyuka. 💙 I really love all the pieces that bring together members of different groups and showcase their skills. Han Yujin did a beautiful job with that dance performance - he's only been dancing for a couple of years, and his background isn't in contemporary, so that was seriously impressive. He's so young - I think he started high school this year - and such a skilled dancer already. I can't wait to see where he goes from here.

Yujin is such a dance genius at such a young age. Before Boys Planet, he only had a year of foundation in dance; insane talent. Also, TXT Hyuka and Taehyun were the vocal heroes of this stage, they sounded AMAZING. Good job to everyone involved.

This song is timeless. 35 years later and this song still hits. A lot of YOSHIKI’s ballads were about his dad. You should listen to X JAPAN’s ballad collection CD. Still my favorite. Those boys really had to practice to hit those Toshi notes😅 When the fans sing, that is something that we do at X concerts.

Thanks for giving some insight on our baby rabbit maknae Han Yujin's dancing! Most people tend to skip over him when looking at this performance, which is a shame, since Zerobaseone are all incredibly powerful performers (as they're all Boys Planet winners). Yujin's only 16 years old (good lord) and has been dancing for about a year and a half. He's been hailed as a prodigy due to his ability to grasp choreography and dance styles at a frighting pace, and his biggest inspiration for getting into dancing and singing was SHINee's Taemin. I really do recommend watching the MAMA opening (one of Zerobaseone's members is a certified music teacher and violinist!) and Zerobaseone's stages from either MAMA or MMA, as they're truly something else.

Anton produce and write his own songs, he is a chellist, great vocalist and a decent dancer that keeps on improving ( he literally can dance riize choreos which are really hard).
