@@CHAN-sb2qx they removed the XG reaction!!! Its just a bunch of WOKE HYPOCRITES they put video with a deceiving headline XG VOCALS 🔥but was ALL ABOUT SAYING XG is Culture Appropriate. XG is influenced and inspired by many American Music Artists of the 80's, 90's & early 2000's. Technically Hip-hop culture is CO-OWNED by both by black & asian communities. The foundation of what HIP HOP represents and stands for with its beliefs to the aspects of what is considered to be part of hip hop culture like breakdancing, DJing, the art of storytelling in rap they all have been HEAVILY INFLUENCED by ASIAN CULTURE. The asian culture that will always be tied to the creation of hip hop is ASIAN MARTIAL ARTS KUNG FU MOVIES but be more specific BRUCE LEE ENTER THE DRAGON in 1973. Wu-Tang clan explained and gives credit to how much asian martial arts films has had an impact on who they are. A woke channel like this claiming to fight against prejudice, discrimination & stereotype dont realize that its them thats doing the stereotyping and categorizing people. i could go on but now lets see who will be open minded to talk and who wont be and try to shit on what i said.

@@CHAN-sb2qx Hi, we have privated the video. We rushed to film reactions to WWY before our holiday film hiatus, and I did not have time to put in the proper research for XG and their history with working with black producers beforehand. Since he did not have this knowledge, when Henry saw the black inspired hairstyle (slicked down baby hairs) and the way the lyrics were phrased during a rap section, he commented on these parts saying they were cultural appropriation. It all boils down to the fact I didn't put in the necessary research, and am terribly sorry for the hurt I have caused the fandom. I have chatted with Henry since then, apologized, and gave him the feedback the fans gave us regarding the way he worded his criticisms. Moving on, we're planning to do better. After reading many different requests and suggestions from the commenters on the reaction, we have decided to do the following: when our film sessions start back up in Feb, we plan to film more XG content with our vocalists and dancers react teams to release reactions that focuses on XG's talents alone and plan a separate video or mini series featuring black fans, producers, choreographers, stylists, etc that focuses on the broader topic of appropriation vs appreciation in k-pop.

Thanks for this lovely reaction. I love when you go into the musical detailing of a track. For me Layover as an album is very much a cohesive musical story… the experience of listening to each track as they progress into the next one is just so soothing and healing as a journey. Tae has described the album as a chance for people to slow down and take a tranquil rest from their own lives and an opportunity to check in with themselves. Like a respite from the fast pace of modern life. Or a layover in between different stages of their life. With slow dancing, I would agree very much with the images conjured up and the words used by everyone… very much a soft, gentle paced dreamy, ethereal, shimmering, tranquil lyrical and beautiful utopia. With the MV, to me it is very much my interpretation that his own ideal world is being designed and created, if you look at the people in it they behave in a way that is unexpected, like the person eating the flowers in the car, or the fruit in the water. Tae has said that each video for Layover is created to portray the mood and feeling and picture he got in his mind when listening to each song. It was also interesting to me that you brought up call me by your name as a reference as in the weverse magazine article talking about Tae as a visual artist they mention it, and the scene at the beach during slow dancing is very reminiscent of the European summer holiday vibes of it. I very much enjoyed your reaction. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

For the flute “sigh”, to me (which could be wrong, I haven’t played in years haha) it sounded like crescendo, and then the flutist altered the pitch to be flat through the airflow and embouchure to propel into that next note or two with an immediate decrescendo to give it that slurred descending feel without individually playing all the notes. If you give a bit less air without tightening your lips, the sound will fall flat, and the tighter they get, it gets sharper, so you can produce that “falling” sound. Also, probably cleaned up in production with some reverb

Yaaay! Thank you so much for uploading this! I've been waiting for this reaction for monthsss 😭 This song (and probably the whole album) was heavily disliked by a lot of ARMYs and other K-Pop fans so I was really curious about what classical and jazz musicians would think of this song and I'm glad that most of you liked it! I was expecting them to be more surprised about a 1-min. flute solo in a K-Pop song tho. Haha. But I didn't know the production was that complicated or confusing! I couldn't follow with the terms and the debates, but I enjoyed watching people discuss so intellectually and passionately 😂 Thank you for supporting V and giving him the recognition & appreciation that he deserves ☺❤ PS. I feel like such a fake fan because I had no idea that Cautious Clay did the flute solo! In the (physical) album credits, it was Jinsu Park who was credited for the flute 🤔

I believe they’ve all shown their musical styles in the solo songs within BTS albums. I see no big difference. Except a lot of songs done especially by vocal line possibly had outside writers or producers helping with the album. But every album that came out to me felt expected of each member because they’ve shown these colors before. And i don’t see them as soloists they are still a group who worked on solo projects to further evolve their musicianship and learn about themselves musically
