I wish you had made it clear that Lee Soo Man is SM himself, and given examples of the groups under them in case people don't know/had forgotten! I feel like it's really noteworthy that he goes outside of his own company to produce a song for a girl group for the first time in a very long while, and one of the first songs he's been personally involved in for a couple years outside of SuperM.

Before I start the video, I've listened to # and So What, but I haven't yet gotten into LOONA (the only other song I know is Butterfly, which I like). I've spoken with others who really didn't enjoy So What, but I sorta did. It gave me Itzy "wall of sound"-esque vibes which sound really cool to me. I truly believe this style will define 4th generation k-pop girl groups. The lyrics are super empowering too, which is always nice. When it comes to #, I've always liked Dreamcatcher's intros and how they prepare you for the songs on the album and I think # does a good job of that. Looking at how hyped the CMR reactors got at #, I think it really did its job as an intro track. I think Isaac was spot-on in predicting So What would have a "futuristic" sound palette! I love how the CMR reactors got into So What, especially Henry. I don't think Henry blinked once while watching that video he seemed so enthralled. I really enjoyed Nick's explanation of the slidey sound and Brianna's critical appreciation of the modal mixture. Overall, a great reaction video! I always enjoy CMR reactors explaining to me *why* I like a song.

Butterfly made me pay attention to LOONA, adding So What to my playlist before listening to it was the best decision I've made in a while, and going down their dance practice rabbit hole got me to respect and STAN LOONA.

I’m not an Orbit, but I liked this song from the first listen. These harmonies reminded me of NCT 127’s SuperHuman. The musical composition is awesome and reminds me of Itzy. Unpopular opinion though, the song is so high energy the entire time that I feel out of energy by the end of it...? Probably just me, but it reminds me of f(x)‘s Red Light in terms of energy. Not a bad thing, but I feel as if I need a break after listening to So What haha. Would have also loved it if they expanded more on the harmonies in the chorus. Overall, it was a fantastic song from beginning to end.

Wow thank you so much!! I felt that way too after the first listen though, it’s so chaotic that it’s really one of those songs that you have to listen to for a few times for it to be easier to listen to. It reminded me of the first time I listened to dalla dalla by itzy, where it’s very high energy and chaotic so the first few listens take a lot of energy!

E.I. SIL well Lee Sooman did produce this album so its kinda of expected to get reminded of SM artists/SM style, specially f(x) since loona also leans into the more experimental side of music

When the original # teaser was on the first loonatheworld website, it was labelled "shap" (Korean romanization of "sharp"?). However, then Jaden left and there was a huge delay. I have a theory that the original Burn track was scrapped and the album name was changed from sharp to hash.

i think the feathers may be referencing haseuls “let me in” because the bird version of herself has white feathers and i’m pretty sure there are feathers on the ground in that mv too. idk i’m just making a guess lol

you've got it - all of the girls have representative animals which are featured in their solos. haseul's is a white bird, so the burning+regenerating feathers are a nod to her taking time away from promoting in order to focus on her mental health.
