The video is helpful. I have Tiago and I want to install the same. Could you let me know if the power of the OBD can be off when the car is not on? This will lead to battery drainage. Apart from that can we check how much fuel we are consuming per hour instantaneously? Does all OBD devices get supported by the Torque app?

Mine is always plugged in since I made this video. No issues with battery thus far. Btw, my car runs very, very less, so the battery recharge is also less. Despite that, I have had no issues with battery drainage.

you can estimate how much fuel is consumed while running and while at idle as well using the 'fuel flow rate' display option available in the torque. I'm not quite sure about the last question. I have tried on this OBD device. Hope this helps.

@@RhythmicDias thanks for your response. My car had a battery drain issue (don't know if it still recurs) My car's battery has been changed a year ago. This month Body Control Module (BCM) and Harman Music system has been replaced as they were reason for idle drain. I hope this does not suck the battery so much.

@@rajdeepchelsea I told you my experience. With my car running so less, if the OBD device drains battery much, then I would have had battery depletion issue by now. Its been connected for almost close to 2 years now. So the battery consumption is very negligible I conclude.

I hope you have understood the limitations of a 3-cylinder engine. There is a lag in instant power, and that is common to all 3-cylinder engines. I've carried 5 adults 2 kids on board uphill. Car will struggle if AC is on and you are on eco mode. Switch it to City mode, car does fine. If that is not enough, quick switching off AC helps. Otherwise, so far car has been amazing. About Mileage: Keep in mind it all depends on the way you drive the car and road condition. Having said that, in city with AC on and with max gear 3rd, I could get MID showing 14 (actual 12). I've not exclusively tested long drives on highways, but for my max close to 200 kms of highway, MID showed 21 with AC on (actual might be 18 or so). People have achieved 29 MID (actual might be 25 or so) on highways. That's all I can give you for now.

This device is not a necessity, but just to get some info from the car. Uses are: 1) read fault codes from the engine (but to fix issue, u need to visit service center). 2) You can assess how serious the issue is after reading the fault code and decide whether you need to tow the car or is safe to drive to service center. 3) In my car, I don't get to know instant FE, so this can be used for that. 4). This along with app can be used to improve your driving style (app-dependent feature, but the data is transferred from OBD. 5). App can tell you if the engine oil has reached its operating temperature before moving. 6) App can warn you to shift the gears at a particular RPM (set by you for better FE). 7). App can warn you with alarm when you are over-speeding. All these features and many more are dependent on the app, but this hardware accesses them all from your car. Hope this was helpful.

I've been using it for the past almost 2 years, its always connected. I too had read it will drain battery. It does but I feel its very negligible. I use my car only on Sundays and whole week it stays connected. I've not had any battery drainage issue thus far. So I'm considering it very safe on battery. If you run your car daily, then absolutely no need to worry at all (as battery gets recharged).

sorry for delay. It is actually the position of the acceleration, to what percentage it has been set. By default it is set at 16% (manufacturer's setting). When you press the accelerator, the 'throttle %" shows how much you have depressed it in percentage. Hope this is clear.
