Edit: You do not need the buff to be active for the trials of the hordes. It was early and wasn't tested. Feel like there was bad wording/mistranslation by calling it trial of plunder, etc. EDIT TO THE EDIT: A day later and they renamed trial of the hordes to now properly read and be called Trial of Plunder 😅😑

As long as you have 20 leggo crests, it's fine to activate the buff to not miss out on the main benefit. EDIT: I did some testing on an alt and it seems like the gem bonus is capped for hidden lair, but not daily gems! So the best bonus is actually activate it on day 1, and limit your daily play time so you can use the gem bonus on as many days as possible. Another trick is to fish until you have 20 purple fish, activate and then turn all of them in.

The 2x bonus timer pauses if you are not playing the game. The event is 36 hours and lasts a week, thats 5 hrs/dy which alot of people wont be able to finish. I say activate,and limit yourself to 5 hrs/day to stretch it to the last day if you need to.

You do not need active buff, to do Trial of the Hordes. It counts to the event even without the buff. The x2 event is active until 13th of June. So you have a week to play at 36 hours. That's a bit more then 5 hours a day. Also you are getting double amount of normal gems from party with the active buff, so every day with the buff, you can get 24 gems from party buff instead of 12. So choose wisely. In my opinion better start it right away and do not forget to log off, when you do not play.

Also the buff allows you to get mirror gem drop buff twice. So you have to be ready for that too before you activate it.

@@skyreign bro did you see my other comment? You don't need the buff for the trial of the hordes. You can just run the hordes and kill gobs to finish those tasks. No buff needed. Unfortunately, completing those tasks doesn't create more tasks automatically

I was getting double gem drops in lairs. seems like I got to the max quick but i wasnt paying attention all that much

That one is very odd to hear, as I saw habonis video/livestream and others were telling that they were not getting double gems in lairs. Am already capped on lair gems this week before the event, so couldn't test it. Think another reason to wait for start of next week to try.

?? First of all, Terror Rifts, DO DROP 2x?? Second, unless you are terminally online and spent like more than 6 hours every day of the event, you will be fine just activating it now and remembering to log out whenever you are inactive.. If you are starting to run out of time and you want to target gemdrops, wait to go online until Terror rifts are active and queue in 4-man party. 2x legendaries and gem drops at the same time.

Tying this to Trial of the Hordes SUCKS. I detest that game mode. Why do they do that!!!!???? Why do devs always think their sucky game modes are so awesome, when they're not? Also, I'm waiting bcz this is the week when we need to grind 2 battle passes. Just can't be bothered with some event tied to another event, rather focus on my battle pass.

I detest it. Sucky game mode. I really only like a few of their events. Until they added the event center, I never did any of them. Now with the gems there, I feel compelled, but God I hate most of them. I don't enjoy beating anyone in ToTHs. I feel badly with each match. It's not at all fun for me. I'm not so directly competitive like that.

i will hold to activate it to make it last to next week, and avoid activate it before do all time consuming tasks, like hordes and helliquery , and cap elder riffs

Would suggest activating it like today or tomorrow, unless you plan on spending ~9 hours every day starting buff sunday->wednesday until the event is over (**3AM** on Thursday 13th of June, so does not really count as another day)

i will active the buff at 10/6 since the event for plunder till 13/6, so i have time to maxout daily fast.(gem cap/Hidden lair/terror rift)

normal gem buff does apply to hidden lairs.
