My hair is similar to yours and I went swimming and got ear inflammation. The doctor said I couldn't get water in my ears at all so I couldn't wash my hair for so long and it was dry and nappy like no other! 😂 the point is, i relate 😆. i've only read the first three TMI books and i don't really want to really the rest of them. I've also read TID, do you think i can read lady midnight or do i have to finish TMI before that?

Joana Arantes You technically should read the second TMI trilogy but I've seen people just look up the important parts of them and then start Lady Midnight.

I've read TMI and TID, and I feel like you should finish TMI first before starting Lady Midnight. The TMI series sets up the makings of the shadowhunter world very well without bombarding you with too much info. And you get to learn all the families, rules, and ideas of the world. Also a lot of the characters in Lady Midnight are from TMI. If you just go into Lady Midnight, I think there's a lot you won't understand. Especially since the characters from Lady Midnight are like a spinoff of TMI.

I personally only read the first three TMI books and wasn't interested in the characters at all. But I read Lady Midnight a couple of months ago and didn't have any trouble keeping up because it didn't actually feel like I had missed much. It actually made the Shadow Hunter world feel more interesting and fast paced. Just a thought.
