One of the most touching stories I’ve ever read! I have A Little Princess on my list too, hoping to like it just as much. Thanks for watching! 😄

@@fatedpages that one is still my favorite. I read it when i was 8, but as an adult there was a new appreciation. But i'm a sucker for seeing characters that are gentle or become gentle while maintaining autonomy ^_^

@@morleywritesbooks do you have any other recommendations for similar books? I’m super interested in finding more like this!

@@fatedpages ella enchanted is along those lines with a bit of sass. Dealing with Dragons has a similar vibe, but with ample comedy. In the adult category, rather than children's/middle grade, i can't recommend BOOM BOOM BOOM enough (best himbo character)

Why are the reviews so piss-poor? Not in rating, but description. "It's annoying." "It gets weird." "If you're looking for disappointment this is for you." isn't a review of anything, it's just a vague statement. Explain how it's annoying, explain how it's weird. These reviews don't really tell me anything concrete so if I were to buy these based on reviews, I'd ignore the one-stars because none of them seem to have a full thought. Saying, "It annoyed me because the main character is indecisive and when she did make a choice it was the most ignorant and nonsensical decision possible." Would at least give me an idea of what they mean.

I agree! When I look for a review I want to know with some specifics what made you love or hate a book, otherwise I have no way to gauge if I’ll have the same opinion. I know it can sometimes be hard to do without giving spoilers (this is something I myself struggle with), but it’s definitely possible to do more than just say “this book was dumb!” Sometimes I wonder if those people actually read the book, or maybe didn’t understand it? If you can’t really tell me more than a sentence or 2 of your thoughts, and you claim you read the whole thing, then I’ve got to look elsewhere! Thanks for watching! 😄
