Warrior's Woman is one of my favorite Johanna Lindsey novels. I have read all of her books and had most of them and then traded them in and then she DIED and now I am in the process of collecting all her books again because she is my all time favorite historical romance author.

Just found your channel. Love the content. I have read the Johanna Lindsay books.. just awesome. Will for sure add the other three to my TBR list. Excited for more content. Especially in the Historical Romance genre. Would definitely want to see an highlander romance one.

I love Prince of Midnight and Laura Kinsale in general. Her characters are rich, complex and full of angst. The h/h struggle and grow so much in order to find happiness.

Interesting idea :-). I read Prince of Midnight many, many years ago. I enjoyed it but it was overshadowed at the time by 2 other Kinsale books, Flowers from the Storm and The Shadow and the Star. I’m pretty sure she was the first author to use Fabio as a cover model. I picked up Prince of Midnight on Kindle not long ago. I’m in a bit of a book jumping mood at the moment so I think I might give it a go.

Something you said caught my ear, something about liking books where heroines have to dress as boys. The heroine has to do this in my favorite Kathleen E. Woodiwiss novel, Ashes In The Wind. Actually, one of my favorites of all time... The hero in this book is also a definite book boyfriend.

@@PeaceLoveBooksxo BTW, Good reads talks about a Virginia plantation. No, it's a Louisiana plantation. Minor, but all you have to do is read the back of the book to get this right...

I saw Riley Marie's video and realized that this method reminded me of something I used to do with my students to get them interested in reading books. Once a nine weeks, I'd set the desks up in tables and stack a bunch of books on each table that I knew had really good beginnings. Students each chose a book and they recorded the title and author on a sheet I gave them. Then I timed them - can't remember how long. They read and then recorded info about the book and how much they might like to read each one. During the period, they rotated books and tables. Then at the end of the period, I allowed them time to check out one of the books that they really liked. Sixth grade curriculum isn't quite as strict as high school, so I was able to do things like this sometimes and it was fun. Even though I don't read many historicals anymore, I still really enjoyed the video. Maybe you could do one on a particular author or another romance subgenre like mafia or monster romance. Maybe just a stack of books from your TBR. 😊

I actually do that with my students too! We call it book speed dating ☺️

The Prince of Midnight is on already on my radar, glad to hear it's promising (turned out I really enjoyed Laura Kinsale's writing)!

After reading Books 1 and 2 of the series, I decided that was enough of the storyline for me. I gave Keeper of the Heart 3 (Book 2) 3 stars, probably should be 2.5 stars.

Laura Kinsale is a fabulous author, but her stories can get very detailed and you have to really concentrate and go slowly. I found the audio versions to be excellent. I've listened to six so far and have a couple to go. I gave The Prince of Midnight 5 stars. Nicholas Boulton is the narrator for all her audio books and he does a wonderful job. I could listen to his voice for ever, plus he does great cockney, English aristocrat, French and women's accents. He really acts out all the parts. 😍

From the title (and of course reading it wrong), I thought it was going to be you reading a Fabio book that he wrote. Which I’m pretty sure was a thing. Or maybe not! I checked! He did!
