I've read very very few horror novellas. I don't think I'd even need all the fingers on one hand. But I really liked We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. And even better, The Turning of the Screw by Henry James. I don't think it counts as a horror per se, but lots of people dying in it - All Systems Red by Martha Wells was great too.

Dont know if the author A.M. Shine came up while searching for your novellas, but give The Creeper and/or The Watchers a go!!! My fav of the two is defo The Creeper - they were both 5 stars for me in the end tho.

😳😳 not me here fangirling because you found my channel. 😱 There is just so many subgenres of horror, it is hard to find what works for you. Supernatural is also not my favorite. I am more of a slasher/gore girl 🤣 I am also obsessed with coffee and mugs so I also have way too many 🙈 I am so sorry True Crime didn't work 😅 It is just really messed up and intense. Her new novella WAIF is also extremelly messed up but in a different level.

I'm not sure if it's classified as horror, and it's possible you read it already, but Rolling in the Deep by Mira Grant was AMAZING. It blew me away with how brilliant it was. And I'm someone who has a hard time getting into short stories
