Same for me the usual reasons why I stopped in the middle of countless series is either because I don't have all of the books or I lost interest for a while then wanted to get back to reading it but I forgot everything and therefore felt like I had to reread the first books

I started with Assassin's Blade as it was more like a prequel for Throne of glass. It took me 3 days to stop my shakiness of what happened to you know who. Another few days to stop rethinking about torture. Finally my body is ready for Throne of glass. I am glad I read Assassins blade first because it gave backstory...powerful...heartbreaking..traumatizing backstory that now I can root for Caelina. before I didnt like her almost quit series. But by the end of Assassins blade, I cant wait to see her revenge (look up trigger warning before reading Assassins blDE)

I'm reading ToG for the first time and I finished Assassin's Blade last night. I read it after Heir of Fire and I whole heartedly agree with this route. There are so many lines and circumstances that hit so much harder when you've read the first three books.

I loved the truly devious trilogy! My favorite book was actually the fourth, The Box in the Woods. While it's technically a standalone, I view it as part of the series because it has many of the same characters. I definitely recommend it!

ik some books that are kinda out of ur comfort zone. You should read Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter. The books are targeted around 10 yr olds and above but you might enjoy them. Tehy have 7 arcs so dont get confused and read out of order. It doesnt actually matter what arc you read first, but to get the full story I suggest you read the first one. Personally, my favorite arcs are, The Broken Code, Omen of the Stars, A Starless Clan, and Power of Three. The first arc and book is called Warriors: The Prophecy Begins: Book 1, Into the Wild. oh and each arc has 6 books btw

It's technically not part of the main trilogy, it's a companion novel. By the third book the mystery at the school wraps up. The box in the woods is a different mystery and setting, but it does follow the same characters
