I’m the same way. I either finish a book in a day or two, or it takes a week or more haha. currently reading the clockwork angel (loving it so far, it’s giving 5 star vibes rn) and it’s taking me so much longer than some books. I’m fully enjoying myself every time I pick it up. sometimes I need to remind myself that reading goals are good but I also don’t have to read 100 books in a year to be content haha

Totally accurate about Happy Place taking a bit to get a feel for the characters. I finished it a few days ago and I just can't decide how I feel about it. It definitely wasn't a five-star for me and I think maybe 3.5 or 4 at best... It just didn't hit me the way that People We Meet on Vacation did. I was bawlinggggg at the end of that book and felt so invested. Happy Place just didn't do it for me.
