Ok so, we're not justified by works in the law, but by faith in Christ Jesus. However we are to uphold the law but not put our faith for salvation in it as our righteousness is as filthy rags, does that sound right or am I off? So on judgement day our reasons for being allowed enterance into the Kingdom of God is Christs Sacrifice for us, however if we deny to pick up our cross and follow him we are denied entry. So what is the middle ground in that, because I fail to completely pick up my cross and follow Jesus every day but I am trying (I can't say I'm trying my best, but I am trying hard). So on that day I don't put my faith for salvation in my works or in my "trying" as that is Christs workmanship, not something for me to be prideful of, but I put my faith in Christ Jesus because he was the perfect sacrifice and the only way for eternity and communion with the Father. - Sorry, been confused on this all week long and I think it's the devil trying to throw me off but this is what I think I know is true.

Hi, Kelly. I'm so glad to see you found our new channel!! I hope your studies are going well, and your health. (We prayed about ROTC and your legs, right?) About your comment above, you're not wrong. We prove our faith by our good works, but it is our faith in Jesus as our Savior, the only Way to God our Father, that saves us on the last day. And don't forget, Jesus clarified the law, reducing it to this: love God with your whole body, soul and spirit, and love your neighbor as yourself. If we love the brethren, we know that we are saved -- because God is love, and His Holy Spirit moves us to love and to show our love through our works. What are you keying on in this Book that makes you think we are denied entry if we don't pick up our cross? In Gal. 6:8, Paul says if we sow in the flesh, which is corrupt, we will get corruption. But if we sow to the Spirit, we will reap everlasting life. Jesus, our only Mediator with God, knows our weaknesses, and He is always interceding for us. So, we do our best (even if some days we do better than on other days), and we confess our sins, one to another (as you already have done), and we remember 2nd Peter 1:5-10 -- "And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. So, Kelly, carry on. Work towards your higher calling, and in the end, you will not fail. God bless you!
