Autumn is in full swing in Berks County, shedding the last leaves on the trees and showcasing beautiful shades of reds, yellows and oranges. As a last hurrah for Reading & Northern’s passenger excursions to Jim Thorpe for 2022, ex-Reading 4-8-4 T-1 Class “Northern” #2102 is fired up to pull a 12 car train round trip between Reading Outer Station to Jim Thorpe. As with most of the excursions this season with the bulking T-Hog, the engine will pull this excursion solo with no diesel assist. This video is also dedicated to TJ Weber, a great videographer and an even better friend. TJ loved the 2102, and the Reading & Northern in general, and you could often find him trackside all year round filming the green and gold. He’s been able to travel the country and witness once in a lifetime events, and his legacy will carry on in his videos on ‪@BeltLineProductions‬. Rest easy, TJ.
