I would hardly classify elm st and 9th and 12th st as the hood. Honestly the "hood" parts are like those weird half streets like muhlenberg st or going close to cotton st. Theres always something going on near cotton.

I moved from a really nice charlotte suburb and went to high school at Berk’s catholic in reading suburb, now live in roxborough a Philadelphia suburb. I’ve seen a lot of nasty things as a little white girl and so has my boyfriend as delco blood as a white boy. We hope EVERYONE finds peace and stays safe out there. We love Philly and hope the culture changes back from filth and violence

Most of what was on Pike Street all gone now. Goosehouse gone, 1402 gone, Mike's Rising Sun gone, Brass Lantern gone, all but the 'Pike' still be there. West Reading is actually still pretty nice.

@@pod9363I’m from Pennsylvania, back when Pennsylvania was a colony the king of England would tax the people for the width and lengths of there house.Therefore people built row houses like London.another reason is because having houses close together made it easier for the people to migrate to there factory 🏭 jobs.Remember Pennsylvania used to be the economic engine of the usa at one point

I didn;t see ONE affluent upscale city. I also have seen "NICK JOHNSONS posts on Penn on YT and he states at least a dozen cities were run down, isolated and just plain deserted.
