Hi Sam!! Since I started dating my gf, I couldn't read anymore heterosexual stories, and I'm glad you make this video because it's so hard to find lesbian books !!! I recommend you "afterlove by Tanya Byrne " it's such a deep story but also really cute te and tragic ! Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did!!!

You gotta read the Fifth Season! It’s a queer fantasy/sci-fi book, written by a black woman! And it’s so good! (It’s a trilogy but I’ve only read the first book so far)

We have such different tastes in books! I took soooo long to finish She get's the girl, but absolutely loved Delilah Green doesn't care! So funny how we have completely opposite experiences of the same books😄

Some more mainly lesbian, but a couple I think write LGBTQIA books too) authors are - Jae (I’ve read at least a half a dozen of her books, my favourite was the Hollywood series), Kristen Zimmer, Kiki Archer, Melissa Brayden, Julie Anne Peters, KD Williamson These 2 have some LGBT books - Melissa Foster’s series Harborside Nights; Seth & Greyson by Jessica Sorensen Series with LGBT characters which are also fantasy - Elemental Brigid Kemmerer, The Shadowhunter Chronicles Cassandra Clare, House of Night by P C & Kristin Cast which I know you’ve possibly already read some of has LGBT characters

I loved this video so much as I don't see a lot of queer books being recommended on KZbin (and the ones I do see recommended are often mlm, which is important, but sapphic books are also important). I recently read We Deserve Monuments by Jas Hammonds and I think you might like it, it's a queer romance but the romance doesn't take over the entire book. It's quite diverse and focuses a lot on different family dynamics.

Anne and Diana’s relationship definitely feels like a sapphic relationship. I def think Anne and Diana were bi.

Next up for me is "The Romance Recipe" by Ruby Barrett and "Carmilla and Laura" by S.D. Simper I'm currently reading and loving The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston! The main couple are straight but the other two couples are lesbian. On The Same Page has been added to the TBR!

A great way to get stickers off or sticker residue is to use a little nail polish remover on a Q-tip.

Any suggestions? I’m a first time writer, I found a deep passion for writing and as I am lesbian, I wanted to give my community the books they deserve. I’d like to disclose that as the author, I will probably be biased since it’s my own creation so please keep in mind that getting my book to a wanting audience is my goal and I’ll be transparent by that but genuinely, I could see myself benching it on my period in a heartbeat. Though my book is not yet published, it’s at page 327 out of I have no idea how many thousands of pages there will be and I would love to get some ideas or suggestions of what the community would like to read! Short context without major spoilers, it’s a dark romance wlw with a tad bit of thriller and physiological stuff sprinkled in as a bonus. The relationship between the characters is rather intense, meant to keep the reader on their toes, any thoughts? I’d love to hear them! It’ll be published under the name of Hit me like a woman which might give off some hints of the direction it’s going to sass its way over to.

I surprised my wife by liking two of the books you mentioned in this video - especially Delilah Green Doesn't Care, so much so that I've since read the two sequels, and I loved them! Now ... how do I explain to my wife that I loved the (very gay) stories, fell in love with the characters, laughed out loud at Delilah's comments and shenanigans, shed a tear of joy at the happily ever after, and ... well, just had to order more of the author's books? 🙂

Read “Last Night at The Telegraph Club”, it’s a sapphic love story but not smut! It’s YA set in 1950s, but so so we’ll written. ❤

As I am from the South, I hate the word queen, as it only used as an insult down there and I can't bring myself to use it in a happy sense even though I know it doesn't mean anything bad. This makes me so sad. I'm so happy you found Allie and are able to be yourself in a family that supports you!

I totally get that 🤍 It can be really hard to reclaim words that have been previously used to hurt you. Remember there is never any pressure for you to use any label 🤍

This was awesome. Similar to you I live on the east coast of Canada, in Newfoundland, and grew up in an extremely tiny place with minimal/no representation of lesbians and knew I loved girls, but it felt so wrong. To add another layer I have a physical disability I was born with. Anne of Green Gables had an extremely close female friend, Diana, in the movie series. So, it could be turned into a lesbian attraction easily enough, but I don't get the Anne and Gilbert thing!

I feel like I need to do a reading of Anne now from a queer lens and dissect it!!

@@sam.kwiatkowski I don't know that Diana was ever mentioned in the book, but if she was it would make for an interesting video, wasn't until you mentioned it that anything LGBTQ+ ever stuck out to me but now there is room for a Bi relationship 😆 Definitely not reaching to far!
