Just say "I haven't passed yet." Don't take it as a failure but see it as a learning opportunity. There is a lot of power in "Yet"; you are telling yourself that you will get there and that your eyes and heart are still fixed on your goal.

Nice! I'm an avid reader, so my natural inclination is to read the entire passage first, but it does waste time and probably throw off my focus. I would think of the passage as a whole, instead of just narrowing down on answering only the question being asked. Thank You! I'm definitely going to try reading the questions FIRST. The vocabulary and math questions are much more transparent for the HESI.

This is by far the best explained video on how to Pass your reading passage portion of the teas test. Thank you for your expertise and advice on how to approach these questions and the rest of the teas test. I definitely recommend this course and it is not a scam. I have never witnessed a Doctor provide such advocacy for his students in teaching them how to utilize the proper tools for succeeding in becoming future nurses instead of enjoying his own time with his family. I’ve been taking these classes for the past 6 to 7 weeks and I honestly do think this class helps I feel like the last three or four classes I’ve gone over material and I’m starting to really retain the information i’ve learned about how when in the reading section the question gives you a fact you have to give them a fact which is something I never really thought I always gave my opinion I thought oh this must be the answer because of this instead of really reading the question i’m still kind of learning how to answer questions quickly but I feel like I have a better understanding than I did before I found this course.

Also to mention I didn’t realize that a lot of the facts that they’re looking for are not specifically in the text I also learned that sometimes The question doesn’t require the passage all together

Hi Adkins, I do enjoy watching your video, it helps a lot. Thank you. How about when there is 5 or so paragraphs and the question doesn’t tell you where in the paragraph to locate the answer. I took the teas twice and I did not get the right score my school needed. I only have one final attempt and it is very nerve wracking.

This is a great video. But I have a question, how can I do all this in a timely manner on the TEAS Test??? The questions are on separate pages, not all on one page. So I would have to go to the next page or the page after that one and so on, to decided which question I'm going to do first, second, third, etc. That can take up a good amount of time on the test, and doing too much reading can definitely mess you up on time. I took the Teas test and almost ran out of time from doing too much reading in a passage.

Exactly, I wouldn’t use this method. You would mess around run out of time and fail the reading portion.

All I can say is if you think this video is helpful, you should check out his 6 hour long LIVE classes he has twice a week for his academy students. He goes into so much more depth of how to handle each section of the TEAS or HESI. He really helps you go into the test with a game plan of how to tackle each question, and teaches you how to connect the dots so many other test takers won't. Seriously - best investment I've made in regards to preparing for these exams. I took my HESI and got a 93.6 on the first go round, and I hadn't taken a standardized test in 6 years, I was terrified and didn't even know how to begin studying. His test taking strategies allows you to digest these seemingly overwhelming exams and make sure you have time to answer every question. (And if you're wondering - hey why is he saying you can pick the order of your questions.... isn't the TEAS online and only allows you to see one answer at a time?? He covers that in his online class too....... It's worth it, I vouch 100%)
