After I reviewed the video, I did not seem to get when to use the intersecting point whether to use the right or the left @4:00? Any further explanation?

This means that in your example your chosen latitude is 15⁰N at the equinox? (The sun rising and setting due east and west but at 75⁰ above the horizon at 180⁰S - 15⁰ north of the equator)
