Finally someone who feels the same way as me! Most people always re-read the book right before the movie but I usually try to get a few months in between so I won't be to picky and dissapointed. Great video and discussion topic! :)

This is too true. I re-read Divergent right before I saw the movie and I was nit-picky. Lesson learned. :)

I agree with how reading the book before seeing the movie can make you nit pick the little details, but I like to read the book one more time before seeing the movie because after seeing it changes how I see the world. I no longer see the world as something I alone imagined, it becomes a mixture of my imagination and the movie.

I agree that reading the book right before the movie isn't a good idea. I read catching fire some time before the movie (not right before) and I was still nit picking and couldn't stop comparing the movie to details in the book. I am going to disagree with one thing, however. When it comes to hair color or length or eye color, it's okay if the person they cast doesn't match those traits. but i think race is really really important. Usually they cast a Caucasian actor for a colored character and it's very rare that it's the other way around. So no one cares that Katniss is played by a white actress (when in the book, it mentions she has dark skin) but when a cute little black girl is cast to play Annie, people freak out. So, yeah, just my opinion :)
