This video was so relatable! :) I am going to be doing my first ever read through in the new year and I don't plan on touching it for edits...I can totally imagine how difficult that is! So exciting that you've got cover art too, really beautiful :) x

Re history retelling, it seems more likely there would be different versions than that everyone has the same version. But I guess it's important that the differences reflect their respective cultures.

I am quite happy I watched your video because soon I’m finishing my first big book and I didn’t think about JUST reading, i thouht i would instantly edit, but now actually this makes so much sense (with noticing the huge errors in your work) so thank you\. Yes I think it's so important to make sure you have the bigger picture before you jump into editing! Even if you really don't like the bigger picture, I felt like it wouldn't make sense to start making changes at the beginning when there might be a reason I wrote things a certain way that I maybe just forgot. So good to see the bigger picture with all the moving parts! Good luck with your edits! :)
