I have to ask, if one can make the choice to gamble, why can they not, according to gus, leave a bad review? If anything I would not only encourage anyone to leave a bad review for a casino, but all those that over estimated their "luck" or "skill" should leave a bad review as well.

Casinos are designed to take peoples money, and to a degree reward a bit through chance. If these people either don't realize what they are in for, or were under the belief that a casino provided a different service why can't they leave a bad review. I really do not understand why you believe that a "star" review system is a good method for leaving a review in the first place.

It was sarcasm. Gambling is a serious thing and you shouldn't do it if you don't know what you're getting yourself into, everyone knows stuff about gambling. So why would you encourage them to leave a bad review if it's their fault for even trying out their luck in the casino. That's like booking a hotel that you 100% know is bad, and then leaving a bad review like you didn't know about it, there's just no point to it. *excuse my English, it's not my native language*

I'm two years late but "..." has not always meant suspense! It's a remnant of when people wrote letters, they also used ellipses to indicate just a normal pause in their thoughts. It kind of makes sense because using a comma as a pause isn't always appropriate but it is odd for us that grew up without really writing letters that often.

BestBet here in Florida won’t let people in based on dress. I needed a knife or scissors to cut a zip tie off a bike chain I had just bought from Walmart, and wasn’t allowed to even asked for help by the doorman. I walked in with a white tanktop and jeans on, the guy quickly walked up within a few feet and told me, ‘Nah man, we have a dress code here, you have to go.’ I said, ‘I’m not here to gamble or anything man, I just want to ask if you or the police officer over there have a knife for this zi-‘ ‘You aren’t dressed right for our establishment man you have to leave.’ He cut me off while taking a few steps toward me so I apologized and went outside. I've actually been to VictoryLand before. Fun Fact: it was closed for a couple years because Alabama has strict anti-gambling laws and they decided the dog track counted as gambling, and the same years they closed some of the local Bingo halls for gambling. Enough people complained that it opened up again, and it was generally agreed that the rule was more "gambling is okay as long as the ones doing it are rich and white" 🤦

In my town there was a man that won a bit over $4000 at the casino on the west side of town. He gave the money to a waitress he is friends with for safekeeping. He leaves and 2 methheads follow him. They jump him and try to rob him, he only had $6.50 in his pocket. They cut his head off and rolled him in a carpet from a dumpster and then burned the head on a fire.. One of the best reviewed casinos in my town still.

People go into a casino assuming they’ll make money. I go into a casino, expecting to spend money on the experience of being at a casino, and if I win it’s just a bonus. The whole point is that you’re paying for entertainment. That’s also why I don’t like casinos, since I don’t find gambling fun lol. I will never understand the people who see it as a viable money-making scheme, especially when they’re talking about slot machines.

I used to work security at a casino and I cannot tell you how many times I got blamed and yelled at because people lost all their money. So many "Fuck you! You stole my money!". I usually responded with "I didn't realize I had a gun to your head and forced you to play."
