Ooh I'm glad you enjoyed Drive Your Plow, it's on my list!! BOJ is too intimidating, but my friend is also reading Flights by her atm, so I'm curious about that one as well. A Grain of Truth sounds so fascinating. I know nothing about issues in Poland today, I would love to pick it up.

Yes! I am glad to have an Olga under my belt haha. I would really recommend a grain of truth if you want a glimpse into the issues in Poland today. Not always the most uplifting =(

I love translated books in general! My favorite Polish translated book is Quo Vadis by Henryk Sienkiewicz, which is set in ancient Rome. Such a great classic! All three of these books sound really good! Though concerning Blinded by the Lights, translation is so important! So translations really destroy a reading experience for me, so it's a pity the translation was awkward.

Quo Vadis is one of my dads favourite books! He is always telling me I should read it haha. I must get on it someday soon. And yes! As I am starting to be more conscious of translations, it really does make such a big difference in the experience for the reader

Great to watch and hear your views. Yes Poland in the news and a culture /literature that has a lot to reveal. New respect for the place and the people. My mother's people from Poland and love hearing more about it. Did read Drive Your Plow---it was excellent. Thanks for the further reading recommended.

hi :) I am from Ukraine, and for the last two years I found myself reading a lot books by Polish authors, because they were translated. I discovered (and fall in love with) Robert M Wegner and his "Opowieści z meekhańskiego pogranicza", it's a fantasy series (not translated in English), when I got my hands on a traslated Jarosław Grzędowicz ' s series "The Lord of the Ice Garden" sci-fi\fantasy military mix and loved it too... I have also read The Witcher series, but I think Wegner and his Meekhan is a lot better. Recently I have read "The Knights of the Cross" by Henryk Sienkiewicz and now I want to read "Quo Vadis" and the rest of his books !!

Love this. Make this a very often and evergoing series. This is crazy as I just watched a video this morning on Drive Your Plow book and it sounds so interesting and so good, but I think the astrology would annoy me so much, ha. Anyways this was so good and I want more.

Thank you! I am hoping to upload one a month =) Drive Your Plow was good but yeah, it was heeeavy on the astrology and not like, casual astrology of 'whats your sign' haha she was deep into it. I listened but then promptly allowed it leave my mind after I finished the book lol.

Well they are going on my list. Actually the Drive Your Plough.. book is already there. Great idea I live about 10km from Poland. I've been many times. Let me know if you're going to read anything from the Czech Republic 😁🇨🇿

Ahh that's fantastic! I was in Prague last summer and I loved it so much! =D I would love to know your favourite Czech authors for when I do a video on the Czech Republic! I feel like Kafka is super famous but he also wrote in German so.. Haha I have a collection of his work but I haven't read it yet.
