It’s always great to see someone excited about something new to them. I am primarily an ebook reader and have two Kindles. The first is the signature edition which I use for books/manga and the other is a Kindle Fire which I use for all other full colour Comics/Graphic Novels. I would advise you to have a major dive into your settings to learn exactly what your Kindle is capable of, like having the cover of the book you’re reading as the screensaver when the book is in sleep mode. hope this helps.

The Kindle Paperwhite is not a revolutionary device in terms of technology, but it is slowly growing in popularity in terms of e-books - no other device that I know of (other than maybe the Nook and Kobo?) has been able to popularize e-books.

I only use my kindle for computing but read for half an hour a day on it mostly, but mainly I like physical books, and if one has small print or the writing in the physical book has awkward wringing style I download it from the z-library and reading on my apple book apt for free.
