I don't especially notice the publishers of the books I read, but I do really like the black penguin classics and the white penguin modern classics. I like Faber too. I couldn't help smiling at you and David eating the muffins, you enjoyed them so much, they were gone in two seconds! They did look delicious though. Best Wishes 💕

I'm so unenthusiastic about the Women's Prize for Fiction this year. None of the books sound very appealing to me, and I can't get them from my local library either. The Non-fiction list is more appealing, but again I can't get any from my local library so I've bought the ones I fancied that were in paperback and I'm waiting for the rest to come out over the course of this year.

Ha I had to laugh about the library book waiting!! My library have been really fast - unusual!! I ordered my first books on Tues pm and the first one arrived on the Thursday, which is unheard of!! The second one is now here too! I will be really interested to hear your thoughts. Cross stitches are looking amazing 😊

Hi Lauren, I love your vlogs and find them extremely inspiring. I’m retired, so don’t have a day job and therefore quite a bit of time. I just wondered if you have some method of keeping track of all the different things you do regarding the channel, eg, reading, baking, etc. as I can find it difficult at times. Do you write them down in a diary or notebook and how do you structure them, or is it all done on your phone with reminders? Hope you don’t mind me asking this as I really think it might help structure my days. I need a bit of a routine as I miss the daily routine of work and home life. Just things that you plan to do and tell us about, obviously nothing else to do with your private or work life. Thankyou so much in advance, take care both of you xx

The first season of American Traitors has a mix of reality TV stars and normal people, but the second is all reality TV. I'm not sure which I prefer, but they were both certainly dramatic.

I haven't started any Women's Prize reading, but am not planning on reading the whole list. Maybe the short list when it comes out. I didn't use to pay attention to publishers, but have started to more recently. Then a new publisher started up in Australia called Ultimo Press, they publish so many amazing books, I do pay attention to them. And I do like a Europa Edition. I find it matters less with the major publishers.

In defence of the act comes really quickly if you order direct from the publisher. Lead time on Amazon was really long!

I’ve read three of the longlist and DNF’d one. I’m 1/4 done with the list and haven’t cared for any of them. I have library holds on another six. I am not going to seek out the remaining books.

Great video as always! those muffins looked delicious, i'm really enjoying you baking every week and seeing how it goes. i too, would like to be a good baker one day. Publisher wise, in my fantasy only days I used to love Gollancz / Harper Voyager. Now i've expanded what I read I don't tend to notice as much. You must get asked this a lot so sorry if I missed it, but where is your living room mirror from? the one with the green edge? i love it! 😍
