On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong has to be my favourite book title - it’s just so beautiful to me!

Thank you so much for sharing your Friday reading vlogs and recommendation. I just ordered the Year of Wonder for my dad, as it is his birthday at the end of the month. I recently moved in to help take care of him and he has been looking for a new activity since he is struggling with mobility. This will be perfect, as he loves classical music - we can read and enjoy together. Thank you again!

I love that cross stitch and that David does it! Yay! Omg I absolutely want to buy that classical music book 😊 I'm with you on studio ghibli, I really want to love it but it's too weird for me too! Before the coffee gets cold is really good. I like the sound of adding baking to the vlogs and good shout for taking a flask of tea into the cinema!

Favorite title, What I'm Going To Do, I Think by Larry Woiwode, 1969, sadly passed in 2022. Later wrote What I Think I Did. I loved his writing and he also wrote for the New Yorker.

Reading and listening to the selections from Year of Wonder greatly enriched my life. I’m on to Another Year of Wonder this year and enjoying it just as much.

David's cross-stitch looks amazing - so neat!! I love a book title that's a quote or reference from somewhere else & I can investigate where it's from & think about why the title was used eg Kate Atkinson's book, Started Early Took the Dog, is from an Emily Dickinson poem.

Hi Lauren. 7th was my birthday. Anyway book title: a favourite (rather than my favourite as not sure) is The Curious Incident of the dog in the Nightime. Think ive got that right. Too hot here 2 get up and look! Such an intriguing title, it is.

I like the title and the book The Lions of Fifth Avenue. The characters are the Lyons family and it’s a reference to the lion statues in New York.

Happy New Year Lauren. We also went to see the boy and the Heron as I read the book called How do you live by Genzaburo Yoshino. We were left thinking, what was that. Weird is right but even more for me as the book said a soon to be movie and the stories couldn't be more different. I loved the book, five stars and I think you would love it. I also read the, while the coffee, book that your husband bought you for Christmas. Loved it and have read one other and bought the rest of the collection. Loving your hair at the moment. BYE "!

Two titles for me would be - Three Things about Elsie - I like it bc it sounds intriguing - makes the reader want to know each thing and find them out while reading. The other title is In the Great Green Room - this was a bio on Margaret wise brown who wrote Goodnight 🌙. That title made me want to go in the room - be cozy and yeah, read that for sure. I remember liking it ok. That cover was green, too ❤

My favourite book title is The Unbearable Lightness of Being. No idea what it's about though - I've never read it 😂

I couldn't think of a favourite book title until I read some others in the comments here. It has to be I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.

I listened to the music along with you, and I didn’t get any singing. I wonder if I was listening to the same thing 😂 Happy New Year you two, great vlog to start 2024 😊

My book title answer would be the exact same as yours! I decided to embark on a mission during covid to compile a list of my absolute favourite books of all time and managed to get it down to 26 😂😂 of those 26 I quickly noticed that there was a theme...8 specifically name a woman in the title and then another 5 refer to a woman (i.e. the other bennet sister) meaning 50% of my favourite books refer to women in their titles 😂 some of my other favourites also refer to specific people and i think that just reflects the fact that I'm a character reader so any title suggesting a character study will always draw me in 👌

The stripes on that sofa cushion are in harmony with your towelling robe and ... could you tell us, my apologies if I missed it, about the tattoo on your left arm? I am waiting for two deliveries today, one from Daunt & one from Waterstones ... all books of course with the purchases of most / many triggered by your suggestions ...

It's a tattoo I got in my youth when I was spending New Year in Ireland, I got it done in Enniskillen in Northern Ireland and was assured it was temporary. Well temporary tattoos do not exist and now it's there all smudged and silly, forever!

You are inspiring me to pick the year of wonder up again, I abandoned it in feb last year but still listen to some of the music from it. Mendelssohn’s octet in e flat coming up somewhere in January is my classical fave ❤ Favourite book title is The Priory of the Orange Tree though my other half makes fun and thinks it’s a silly title. Also am drawn to anything with woman or women in the title (Woman Eating/Women talking)

Hi! It will be changing colour every month, so you won't have much longer to wait until it is no longer red!
