I've read, and listened to the audio book (narrated by Wil Wheaton) twice in in one year. I cannot wait for READY PLAYER ONE to drop in March. When I heard the novel, READY PLAYER ONE was being made into a feature film, I was hoping they would turn it into a trilogy. I will reserve judgement on whether the one movie should have been split into three parts, as it was in the novel.

Ready Player Two: So true and the fact that Spielberg does not mention this constraint somewhat diminishes his status as an icon symbol. This is not like Jurassic Park where you deal with archaeologist as probably the geekiest people in the production of the movie. Here in this movie the gods of tech even the geniuses of the music, video and game industry are being payed homage, the crew should at least show some know-how of what they are involve with. Only one person attempted to relate to the crowd with his t-shirt stunt but I prefer if it was Ultraman or at least a band. This is a golden opportunity to get together the great minds of programming, music, video games, movies and artist as far as the 80's and the new generation and see what they come up with. The VR is absolutely the perfect platform for this cause it can transcend all media platforms and lump them up in just a simple movie. Music videos does not need MTV and still be cool but not cheap when compared to pirated internet, video games don't have to last for hours and not as complex as standard game consoles and yet still satisfying, and yet franchise still earn royalties. This is especially true for older players who just want to relieve the nostalgia of younger days even by more all less an light visual novel type could be satisfying to those at make games and are involved in the production. However I still believe VR for this casual use needs an improvement in the headset; the primary one being that radiation must not reach the eyes. Imagine if the VR has a very slim mid layer that somehow not only redirect and filter radiation but also enhance the experience thru angle and light manipulation. Imagine not just a controlled 3d made from key scenes of the video but mere focusing of the eyes or tilt of the head can initiate this special effect; I'm referring to the one where when you tilt a picture you see another image. I believe this could be done with angle manipulation, lens difference and arrangement and new combination of gases and other substances in the VR. Creative people, artist and god of tech need to come along together to hone their skills. This is one panel that made even Spielberg little and insignificant to me sorry to say

I got free preview tickets and watched it yesterday with my fiance. It's brilliant, funny and very cool. Some very surprising references. One in particular, which made me grin so much it hurt. Kids will absolutely love it. The ones watching it yesterday did. They'll definitely want to watch it again. ☺

In a way for me reading Ready player one not only gave me the Willy Wonka feeling but Sword Art Online as well. Yeah it'll be a bit nerdy but Look at the world today with MMORPG we all pretty use gaming as a way to get away but also there are jobs on the net and you can work from home The oasis is just about everything from gaming to working and maybe eventually there will be currency use sometime in the future. I don't think that a lot of people realize how close we really are to such a reality.
