Ready to Fly - Masayoshi Takanaka - Best Live version !

This version was not on youtube. What a shame, since it's the best one ! Don't know which year it's from, but obviously before 2001, provided it appears on the 2001 compilation "Guitar Dream".
As usual, I am not the big fat cigar smoking guy who owns the rights of the song. However, even as an artist myself, I don't believe in author's right theory. I think that's an evil philosophy ! Good vibrations are made to enjoy freely. One love !

The link is to a live performance of "Ready to Fly", which has long been considered a masterpiece among Masayoshi Takanaka's fans, and is a rare live performance from "the Sadistics" era. For one thing, the members of the band are Sadistics, and this is a rare take performed by almost all of the members who recorded Takanaka's first album, "Seychelles. In a sense, this is the original performance. The guitar used by Takanaka on this recording has the tone of the Fender Stratocaster that he used in his early days. There is no description of the equipment in the credits, but from the photo, it seems to be a Fender Stratocaster T1, "Takanaka's model".because it has been said that his playing goes well with the tone of the Stratocaster. It is really miraculous that there are videos of this era on youtube and that we can see them now. Surely the one with Santana belongs to the top ! So much freshness and energy ! This one however is much more clean, musically deep, and mature. In the ends it's a bit a matter of : hotheadedness of youth VS maturity and experience of the master...
