The spur gear is open on the bottom of the motor module - which in theory is OK if it is sealed up. However, there are also some small gaps on the sides where it mates up rear transmission and the chassis. A quick remedy is some adhesive backed foam or foam cut into blocks placed in that gap - which should help to reduce the likelihood of particulate ingress and still retain the quick access functionality.

asemail Nice suggestion. I'll look into that. Thank you.
@jalee65876 жыл бұрын
What I did was take the motor module out and put 2 layers of electrical tape to cover the spur opening on bottom then I used a razor and cut a opening in the bottom where spur sticks out. With this “gasket” in place no more granules of dirt chewing up the spur gear every few packs.

Great video!!! I would like to say, the audio of when you were bashing was bad quality, but when working on your cards when ur at home, the audio sounds 10/10 I would be nice if you used your home camera for your bashing video. Great video, keep up the great videos buddy!!!

Thanks for watching. That's the thing with GoPro's audio is not so great. I would love to use my home setup but that is a DSLR with a very heavy lens.

Get a head mount for that GoPro .... won't have any issues with audio and its a much better look-see at what your taping
@ReadySetRC7 жыл бұрын
I actually film with 4 GoPro's. One on the head and three on the ground. You are probably hearing the voice audio from one of the ground camera's. I usually mute that out on editing but everyone want to hear the electric motor and gears.

oh, yea, audio on go pros are not that good, i didnt know you filmed on a go pro

Amistry20 Yeah they are ultra portable but the audio is not so great. Funny enough the cameras are always filming themselves. You are bound to see them in the footage, LOL.

@tyd54627 жыл бұрын
slash
@socaljoe49427 жыл бұрын
Slash 4x4 $400 (with brushless motor), Senton 4x4 around $240 (brushed motor), my LHS has the Senton 4x4 for $219
@jalee65876 жыл бұрын
If you have the money to get slash 4x4 get it. I just got a senton and it doesn’t really drive straight on road constantly messing with trim only to go off whack every few minutes . rocks constantly get stuck in the steering arms locking up the steering and dirt and rocks easily make its way into the spur and pinion case eating up spur gears every dozen or so packs. Senton only does about 19-20mph on 2s lipo. Main good thing about the senton is suspension works well and it handles jumps nice.
@mbsanocki886 жыл бұрын
I would go with the arrma senton 3s blx 4x4. Especially over the slash.

You hit LVC... How long did the run last? It seemed very slow compared to videos I've watched on the Granite version. Maybe the slipper wasn't adjusted, or you weren't holding the throttle open?
@ReadySetRC7 жыл бұрын
The total run time was 40 minutes. As for the speed, I was not getting great traction on the loose surface. Tires did not hook up. That was not full throttle. Next video may be on asphalt where you can see the speed of the vehicle.

@D&D airsoft True, camera's don't capture speed properly. Keep in mind I'm not full throttle either in the video. I got about 27mph stock out of the box on 2S without the motor being broken in.

I run mine on 3s and not on Lopo
@ReadySetRC4 жыл бұрын
@Trenton Eckard Most of this video I'm not pulling full throttle. If yours is brushed like this one the motor and ESC is not rated for 3S lipo. Lastly if you meant LIPO not Lopo not sure how you are running on 3s and it not be a LIPO. LiFE maybe?
