Thank you Mike for this awsome review. Really liked Barrys final word "Coool" ;-) I am happy to tell you a few things you pointed out as being not so good (yes, you HAVE the points!). The rulebook - will get a full revision! Morale Track - gets a bit shorter (to - 3 instead -5) with "get 1 unrest at the bottom" instead loose 1 IP Frequency of fights - you may already choose a smaller map size if you want more combats (but I do not recommend in the first play) Morale up and down - You will get unrest token now; for taxes (3 Unrest for every leader instead -3 Morale), touching the bottom of the morale track,... Every unrest gives you -1 MO at the beginning of each round. But you can fight unrest with armies (harahar!! slay your unhappy people), feeding them well, or Bread and ciruses. And Culture will give you Morale Markers. These are offset with your Moralemalus from Cities. So at the beginning of a round the Cities Malus CAN be much lower. The new religion expansion may even reduce it to zero ;-) One more thing you may have played maybe wrong: The first player coming to a new age HAS to choose one of the open cards and this is scored for ALL. So maybe he will not get any points or just a few but is forced to give points to another player. BUT: depending on the choosen card he may choose to whow he wanna gives the points ;-))) Again, thank you very much. Yes, it´s not a game for all. It will never be and shall not be. It´s for us kinda nerds that love the big games.
