Something about being a kid during the late 2000’s and early 2010’s feels so magical. Going to the pool on a hot summer day, sitting in the backseat of a car listening to pop music on the radio, watching cartoons during the weekend, playing mobile games on parent’s phone, and just plain having fun. Doing kid stuff without a care in the world. It was just an amazing experience.

This actually brought not one, but many tears to my eyes. My parents always say that us 2000-2010s kids don't have anything as cool in our childhood as they did. But they're wrong, very wrong. They might see it like that in their eyes, but to us we couldn't ask for a better childhood. There's just something about going over to your friend's house to play Mario Cart, or having them come over to your house to play Minecraft, or any other memory that makes us all so happy. Now we can always look back and remember "the good old days" but we shouldn't forget about the present. Because right now we might say the 2010s were the best, but another 10 or 20 years from now we'll be looking back on the 2020s saying "besides covid those were great years". So we shouldn't be living in the past, we should live in the present and enjoy these days before they also turn into the days we wish to go back to. I'm extremely proud to say I was born in 2007 and grew up as a 2010s kid. P.S. sorry for making this so long I just had a lot to say lol

As someone who grew up in the 2010s I'm glad we can all reminisce on these years, I'm so different now than back then (talking about early 2010s here, like 2012-14) remembering all these things also reminds me of the expiriences I have that are tied with them. Waking up early in the morning to leave our apartment complex we lived in, or when we were at my dad's house going by the small Shell gas station which always seemed to have the same worker at the counter over the years, I remember the fire that scared the living daylights out of me when I looked back at the woods we used to live by, worried that I had forgotten my "green blankie", a blanket given to me by my Palpal, who I'm named after. I remember my relief when I heard the fire hadn't spread too far past the woods and onto the land our house was on. I remember my old private school, my 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Bright, a very nice but strict old lady, I think she knew I was cheating on all the spelling tests but never told anyone. I remember waking up and going to church on Sunday every now and then, I remember losing my faith in God, I remember how my dad also did during the divorce between him and my mom. Since then I've renewed my faith along with my dad, I feel happy, and I've dealt with so many of the problems that held me back, I'm in high school now, I'd like to go back now and see how I would handle things with my very changed outlook on life. I remember the bad times so much more clearly than the good, but I won't dwell on them because I've realized what I was doing wrong back then, I was focusing so much on what bad thing would happen next, instead of the good happening right then. Anyway, thanks for reading, and have a good day/night wherever you happen to be May the Lord bless you and keep you 💜

I was born in 97’ and relate more with 2000s nostalgia, but I also relate to a lot of early 2010’s nostalgia. Silly bands were the craze when I was in middle school. Sam and Kat, Victorious, big time rush, all of those things remind me of being a kid. I just started entering my teenage years, but was still a kid. I had only just started middle school at this time so it really brings me back to that era of my life. Its weird how I feel nostalgic about my life 10-11 years ago! It seems like it was just yesterday. Now I’m a miserable adult! I can’t believe I wanted to grow up. Now all I want to do is be a kid again… :(

As a 2009 kid this makes me miss my childhood. I grew watching more English speaking cartoons than my native languages. And the games hits the hardest in my opinion, I've played half of the games mentioned here. I don't care what you say but the 2010s era is way better than the 2020s with Tiktok taking over.

Is it just me or does no one see slime around their school anymore, just saying when I was still in middle school me and my friend made a damn good profit from that. Slime was like so Iconic before.

Personally, I was never really a fan of slime, but I do remember when it was popular when I was in 6th grade circa 2017.

I just realized that.. You were the cool kid if you had slime, and everyone would crowd around you at recess.

I remember when kids at my school would literally sell that stuff by the pound and it was so popular. I haven’t seen anyone who didn’t go through a slime obsession phase at one point in their life. Most of the kids at my old school went through the slime phase at the beginning of middle school Aka. 6th grade

@@cringmemes7584 For me, 6th grade was my last year of elementary school. 7th grade was when I started middle school. I personally never cared about slime, and I remember being interested in other things instead.

@@Artist_of_Imagination 1 year ago today, I was going to school in person. I was able to go wherever I wanted during the weekends, and I was even looking forward to what was supposed to be a trip to Disneyland in May 2020. Then came Friday the 13th a few days later.
