When the phone goes off and he tells you to silence your phone , you touch your phone and it's a fail. The pressure . Best put on flight mode before the test.

If you hadn't silenced your phone before the test, the other option is to politely tell the examiner that you need to pull over in a safe and legal place. You secure the car, and then you may touch your phone to turn it off.

for anyone who wants to know, they do not provide the car at deer park (not sure if they do at any of the sites), so you have to use your own. i did the test in my beat up little 20 year old manual car - the instructor almost did not allow it because the floor had straw all over it, so it's best to clean the car before taking it in (seems obvious in retrospect, but i usually forget something obvious for things like this lol). but i passed in large part because i watched a lot of videos like this one, took a lot of deep breaths and went slowly because there were heaps of birds and people on the road that day.

@@vikasdrivingschool that’s really good to know that the person passed in their first attempt. Why I asked this question was because I didn’t pass my test in Sydney last week as the examiner informed me that I had touched the left edge line and the test was discontinued after 15 minutes. This didn’t happen at any stop line or any left or right turn but on a straight narrow one way road where I was trying to keep the safe distance from the centre unbroken line.

I don't think it was a pass.Once when he turned right ,didn't give way for oncoming vehicle, moving off to quick , I don't think he do it his checks.Several times at roundabouts he didn't signaled when before his intended exit.And the phone ringing...😒😒
