I just want to say as a woman who was a realtor, getting hit on was part of the job. I mean, clients picked agents based on pictures and I'm not saying this happens everywhere and realtors already have a bad reputation, but there is definitely shady stuff going on behind the scenes. I worked in a office with over 30 agents and it wasn't uncommon to sleep with clients! I had a client who I showed almost 20 high end condos in Chicago and instead of buying a home he asked me out to dinner. I mean, it's not a dating site! But people are pigs. And real estate wasn't for me, because I wasn't willing to sleep with clients or cut someone else throat to make a sale. But I'm sure every female agent has encountered what Maya experienced.

This was hilarious glad y’all gave a input on this I purchased a place 4 yrs ago my agent was no where near like these guys. I mean you build a relationship with the buyer but even for me I had a list of questions for him. But remember this is LA I’m east coast they are very different almost like another country. FYI the creators of the hills laguna beach are behind this.

Derek Trainer I was too . I went in a range of 75-90 I didn’t want to go to high it was for a condo when I heard the square footage and the pricing I thought it was off my first time buying I wanted a little breathing room. I thought maybe it’s the location or the area. I mean my grandfather baught his shore house back in the 50s 60s it was he was the first one to put his on stilts due to hi flooding risk which helped him maintain the house. Which helped his property. I was definitely confused as well

Maya should have just closed him, not reiterating that she's married. This led him to continue his agenda. As a sales rep for 10 years selling high dollar technology deals, I would have said 'well you like me, you like the property, then let's just sign right now.' She should have had the paperwork with her, and pulled it out as soon as he said that.

Pretty accurate! It really depends on the area you are in and the houses you are selling, but the commission is pretty accurate!

those are gross commission. for example in Los Angeles, USD 3,300,000 House: 5% comission fee: USD 165,000 Comission breakdown: 50% representative fee USD 82,500 (opposite party agent. seller / buyer side) 30% brokerage fee USD 24,750 45% California income tax USD 25,988 nett income USD 31,762 so, your nett comission could easily downgraded from 6 figures to 5 figures. and you also have other expenses like: Open house catering, professional cleaner for your listings, multiple house stagings (at least 4,000usd for 3,3mil house in los angeles), brochures, advertising, business card, etc.
