Building your own house is overrated. You can find one that you really like that someone else made. The headache you experience building is not always good for everyone. So not a general rule “better to build vs buy”

These new homes have no yard space! That’s the one thing I HATE!! I would rather buy a nice piece of land, 2 to 3 acres, and build what I want and add a variety of fruit trees, and a pool of course.

By the time you pay closing cause, lawyer, this one and that one, every cent suck from your pocket like a vacuum. Buy an old house with land space and fruit trees. Fix it the way you want it. You don't have to live on the hills in order to see land.

I will go and live in Jamaica this year with my family. I recently signed a contract to work in New Kingston, but i´m looking for a house with land space and fix it my way. But the only thing I find in internet is very expensive properties with not land space. Any recommendation of any website to find old houses with land space? Thank you.

Look out for the scammers because some of them also work for a bank and be careful of the area because we always hear pure bad news would love to come back home to live lol but they might just jack up the price of the property thanks for sharing this one it gives us all the real deal of Jamaica getting a house
