I enjoy watching this type of video- the editing process- so why not put some out there.
Editing process for blending multiple exposures in Photoshop CC. Assumes basic knowledge of Photoshop.

Really nice! I like how you left the door in the shot. I'll try that next time. Thanks

Never knew I could change brush size & hardness doing CTRL - Alt- Right Click, nice short cut, Thanks for sharing that. When you did your window pull at 10:02 in the bedroom did you change your shutter speed to darken the room to expose the views then flash the window or did you leave the shutter the same throughout & just flash the window at full power? I shoot with a mirrorless camera so when I change the shutter speed I can actually see what my image looks like. Just trying get a feel for your workflow. Haven't worked much with window pulls but starting to experiment with it. I started doing real estate photography a year ago & have always exposed for the view & flashed the room, works well but always trying to learn new techniques, sometimes one hat doesn't fit all. Like you videos btw, easy to follow & laid back, like Anthony Morganti, direct & to the point.

Hey, glad you liked the video! I actually didn't have to change shutter speed on this particular image. I only did a separate frame for the window because the flash was reflecting in the window. Also, darken mode doesn't require much selecting and masking to pull off. Exposing for the highlights and using flash to expose the interior is a great technique and one I prefer as well. Darken mode/window pull is a good trick to have in your bag, though on the rare occasion when there just isn't enough flash power to get the view you want.

I agree, flashing the room is my first choice however at times it's hard to avoid what I call those proverbial wall spiders, my nickname for ceiling fan &/or hanging lights that cast shadows on walls from the flash. Flashing the window is a nice trick to have if wall spiders are unavoidable.

You could get a great result and actually make some money shooting for MLS just by shooting hand-held with an 80th sec exposure and TTL flash 1.7 over with camera set for ISO 320, and f6.3. Edit in Lr using preset for whole project. Real Estate Agent will be satisfied and you will make more money. sterlingimagesphotography.com

Great tutorial Murray!. I have few questions: 1) why do you proccess Jpegs instead of Raw ones?: 2) do you do any editing in your images previous to blending?. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Bego. I usually tweak the images in Lightroom first-mostly white balance, exposure, shadows, highlights, etc. then take them straight to Photoshop. In this tutorial, I made jpegs and started in PS only because my macbook pro has only two usb ports. I use an external drive to store my photos as DNGs and could not access them with my Wacom tablet plugged in to one usb port and the microphone plugged in to the other. Thanks for watching.

Who's got time for all that? It looks great but 30 images with 15 of them done like that would take forever compared to what most realtors are willing to pay.
