The camera isn't glitching, the signal is. The signal transmitted from the camera is a bit weak.

its the only real footage that was used. this and take off. the rest was cgi which doesnt help cause theres going to be a lot nay sayers saying this was faked. Can understand why NASA would think it was a good idea to use cgi. dumb move on their part

Anyone notice the little pieces of debris flying off at around 25 seconds? One appeared to hit the folded sun shield, but it might have been passing between the camera, and the telescope. Another appeared to me to look around a foot in diameter. That stuff should fall back to Earth pretty quickly. Probably no big deal.

I'm pretty sure it's in orbit now and will stay there for a long time

The debris you speak of is most likely the result of ice formed during the release of Ariane-5's cryogenic upper stage.

I thought the whole thing represented humanity at it best. Then the NASA director comes on and makes a vacuous speech mentioning the star of Bethlehem and Jesus and god and such trash. I found this transition from the best of humanity to the worst of humanity utterly jarring.

That guy was obviously a silly, political hack put in charge of NASA. I knew nothing about him but came up with that conclusion immediately. I checked him out on Wiki and sure enough I was right. He went into space once on a shuttle as a public relations exercise for NASA. It was the flight just before Columbia. I couldn't help thinking, if only...
