When I first saw the video for this, I loved the colors behind every member and the fact that the video had sort of a positive look, but the song itself and lyricism behind it was a very dark subject, and I fell in love with it. I cover this song a lot (in my own vocal range of course, sometimes I can’t hit those high notes like Don can, so I have to go an octave lower)

When I first heard from the outside I had just gone through a serious break up. And I had an alcohol and pill addiction and it was getting worse and I finally quit the pills and Xanax and started skateboarding more and I seen you guys at the house of blues last winter and I told my buddy ‘dude they gotta end with from the outside’ and you guys did.
