This band never disappoints with their sound and touches people dearly. Music can really help you through life, and Real Friends is proof. "I'm stuck here with the choices I've made, and the chances I was too afraid to take." I'm a lot older now, and thankfully much happier. But I honestly regret so many chances I didn't take when I was younger. I held myself back from being happy throughout most of my teenage years, for reasons I find ridiculous now. I guess what I'm saying is that you absolutely cannot be afraid to take chances when they come your way. And even though things get better, the regret of what could of been always sticks with you. Don't let fear of whatever it may be, hold you back from experiencing those great teenage years to the fullest. You simply have to take chances on certain things and certain people, or you just hold yourself back from living life to the fullest, and all you end up with is the regret and thought of what could of been.

This was literally me at my childhood birthday parties. The thing is these bad memories don't go away because it was much more than people not arriving. Overall, you just have to keep smiling through any bad situations. Every time I listen to Real Friends, I just get the sense that their music is just so personal and I love it. Through instruments and lyrics, they're able to paint a feasible picture to anyone listening of love, hurt, guilt, confusion, etc. Their thoughts are clearly stated in their music, and to see it visually through a sad dude with only his mom to celebrate his birthday speaks volumes. Beautifully done video. I love you, Real Friends! :D

@@drumsno That's a Doylist or IRL interpretation of this work of fiction (the music video). What I wrote above is Watsonian or in-universe (mixed with the non-fictional fact that I met Dan Lambton in person: a fact according to the author, basically "Word of God" in TV Tropes terminology). I can tell fact from fiction. Basically, I filled a plot hole in a fictional universe with an IRL explanation.
