I can attest that Ive visited the location in SC at 11:30 several years ago but didnt encounter the supernatural myself. It was nighttime though so it was extremely creepy, and my cousin who was with me attempted a Ouija board to no result. Definitely wouldnt doubt it to be a haunted place though, if the supernatural are indeed real

The question is, why does he stay, other than the all important "All of my money, is tied up in this house, I can't just leave!" aspect of it. As it’s just too much of a “coincidence” that we see a dark silhouette jump down and then the guy points out that there is a ‘black teddy bear’ right by where it fell from the window!
