i honestly dont think wendy or candiace knew gizelle’s dad’s diagnosis, no one talks to them in depth also, gizelle saying she didnt care that wendy was assaulted b/c “she doesnt like her;” telling wendy she cant use her bathroom like she’s a slave; mocking wendys mom (agreeing she thinks she’s a witch), wendy’s disdain for gizelle is NOT unwarranted. HOWEVER- just saying “oh wow. that’s unfortunate, i hope he is okay” would have been better. the problem is, wendy NEVER actually speaks up, she says it in confessionals. so her hurt comes out in passive-aggressive ways. gizelle is NOT innocent but a sick parent is no time for “shade.”

I have a different, maybe unpopular perspective about Wendy’s comments. I do think she should’ve just said nothing. Kept it short and sweet like Candiace did, but I don’t think anybody, well at least Candiace and Wendy knew Gizelle’s dad had cancer. Not saying that what she said was right, but I think that context matters just a little bit.

I think it was more to it with Wendy's comment. She may not have known that it was so serious and it looked chopped. With that said, she still could've wish her dad the best because you never know the outcome when someone is in the hospital for something major or minor.

That makes sense. Based on what we saw/heard, Wendy agreed with Candiace saying that we could wish the best for Gizelle's dad from a distance. It was only when Mia said pushed about the women needing to go to Gizelle directly that Wendy's comment came. I too believe that silence is golden, but given the limited info provided in that moment I also don't think there's much reason to believe Wendy is purposefully being malicious. So hopefully this won't be another round of much ado about about nothing.

I agree 100% about the situation with Gizzy’s dad! I’m definitely not a Gizzard fan but my heart truly went out to her and I definitely thought Wendy was doing way too much and being way too petty. Not to mention (if I’m remembering the situation correctly) wasn’t Wendy’s mom going in for an elective procedure? Even her mom was on camera telling her to calm down, it was a simple procedure. I don’t want to see anyone’s parents sick, but clearly brain cancer is nothing short of catastrophic. It’s not a good look that Wendy couldn’t extend any empathy and instead took a moment to make it about herself.

When I was watching the therapy session, Gordon does hear Mia, he can’t even see how unhappy she is, she had nothing good to say, she was miserable, when she revealed that he took her money, I truly felt sad for her. Mia stayed as long as she did for survival, as soon as she could leave him, she did! Robyn is working working, she was a real estate agent, now facials, good for Robyn, she said I will be in the green again. Giselle lacks vulnerability, when she said we’ll talk about that later, I think when she would try to be vulnerable in earlier seasons, she would be ridiculed so now she just retreats.

I like Wendy and do NOT like Giselle at all (cause I don’t), but Wendy should have just stayed quiet instead of saying what she said. If she was going to say anything, she could have just said, “Sorry to hear that”, or “He’ll be in my prayers” concerning Giselle’s dad. That just wasn’t a good look from Wendy IMO. Giselle is a nasty piece of work and she behaves as if she HATES Wendy, but I just wish Wendy would have responded differently. I remember what Giselle put Karen through when her parents died, I didn’t like THAT either.

THIS! At the beginning of the season, I could see several interesting narratives coming from each of the HWs - and yet we all we got was mess and stand-offs. It is quite literally the producer's job to "produce" and they've failed miserably. Hoping next year with a new showrunner will come fresh energy and an understanding that an ensemble show means the ladies have to each do their part.

Cancer is a horrible thing , I watch my step dad deteriorate, little by little and It almost broke me. I do not agree what Wendy said, because in this case she should have been the bigger person . To me, it's less about what Gizelle would do in Wendy's situation than about what kind of person Wendy wants to be and what karma she wants to generate in her own life. That being said, I think people are grading Wendy on a curve based on what we now know about Gizelle's father's diagnosis and ultimately his passing. All we saw was Mia suggesting Candiace and Wendy needed to go to Gizelle and offer support, and Wendy responding to that expectation.
