Many years ago I wanted to return to Hampi, buy a corracle made of nylon fertiliser sacks coated with tar and float down the Cauvery river.I was there for a new year and despite it being a dry state got a plastic bag of local brew and didn't go blind.Slept on the roof of one of the few village houses. When you get home have a read about Viyanagar which had sanitation when we were still throwing soil into the street.

Karnataka isn't a dry state. Perhaps, there's a ban on selling liquor around the heritage site.

@@richardsims3847 OMG. That’d be pretty different 😆 yet more adventurous. I guess back then alcohol availability would be pretty limited in that area. This district has always been one of the lesser developed regions in Karnataka.

The presence of people, the diversity of culture and lifestyle land nature and such things made my life enjoyable. Never felt stressed or depressed. I always enjoyed my life in India. But after I went to the west I felt like I am controlled by someone and I don't have my own time, and I am stressed and depressed sometimes. But when I returned I felt I am back to normal . What I am saying is life is enjoyable in the real nature

These vlogs just fly by; so interesting. I have never subscribed to modern 'adventure' bike phenomenon and watching you guys doing some real adventuring on a classic 350 just confirms my view point. I'd love to see a couple of massive 1200cc plastic enshrouded modern 'adventure' bikes deal with that ferry crossing. Give me the RE classic , perhaps with a set of trail tyres, and that'll handle most of the adventuring I want to do. Excellent stuff gentlemen; thank you.

@@MrDarcy-OlMan I tried the Bear 650, and it definitely feels buttery smooth. The stance is also improved compared to everything else. Millions of years ago volcanic eruptions created these giant rocks... Thousands of years ago before British deforested most of India to build the railway network these were thick forests and home to monkeys. In Indian philosophy we treat all animals as gods. In the Ramayana period this area called Kishkinda was home to monkey army that helped Lord Rama cross over to SriLanka by building the bridge... This is the birth place of Lord Hanuman who was an ardent devotee of Lord Sri Ram... More details in Ramayana
