@@thebrownfeministcanada i was asked: 1- my story? 2- why clinical research ? 3- how would i react in conflicting situations? Now i have found the answers. Hey r u canada based ? I am based in Netherlands. I want to switch my job to CTC or CRC. Are there any international courses worthy of value to be considered while applying for such position? Maybe i can do any online ??? And i learn and then thats useful for my this future career.

Here are my questions and they r far more complex and tricky than i ever imagined. I am still waiting for results. Interview part I: 10 behavioral questions. They were manageable. Part II. That's where I was kinda screwed. Three one page real trial scenarios each having 3 questions (virtual zoom call with screen share by the interviewer, I had to read the scenarios and tell the answers to questions that followed) Examples In a breast cancer trial a PI recommends a patient to the CRC. The patient is Her(-) and had her radiotherapy done previously (why it was relevant I dono). The schedule with CRC says one of her tests are to be done outside the site in another hospital/testing center. question: Would a new Icf be required. If yes why if no why. Should this patient be enrolled at all? Scenario II: the PI recommends a cancer patient. Three inclusion criteria are met and they r listed there in scenario. The patient says she is fine with the first visit tomorrow and can come. Question: what as a CRC u shud do. How will you manage this situation? And more questions I dnt remember Scenario III. U need to send for processing a tissue sample. How wud u initiate the process. Before a patients visit what are the things you would consider most imp and what your preparation be like ??? Although I answered these questions I wasn't sure if they were correct. But for me some of these were very specific questions and I didn't know how to handle them. All in all not all CRC interviews are simple.

I will watch this video several tines so I can utilize your approach on handling a conversation in certain situations I am going through. I like all you have said, but I do not like your title: "The brown feminist". I find it somewhat agressive. It is my humble opinion. Thank you for sharing your expertise. Blessings.

Coming from a social work background, do you have any recommendations for someone trying to get into the field who does not have research experience?
@thebrownfeministcanada

Hi, I don't have an exact video yet on how to transition from social sciences to clinical research, but it is definitely possible. It would recommend taking the route to clinical data manager by doing courses on data analytics, learning SAS/SPSS/Python etc.

@thebrownfeministcanada
@thebrownfeministcanada 2 жыл бұрын
@@jasleenkaur6854 Hi Jasleen, there are "some" roles within clinical research which will accept Chemistry as a base degree. But beyond education they will want experience with human subjects. If you are able to demonstrate that experience through work, volunteering, internships, or other certificates then it should be good to get you a job in clinical research.
