Why those KZbinrs do that? They don't know English or they intentionally misinform? They speak with a naturalness that makes you believe they are right and that is when you fall into the trap. It even makes learning English more difficult because they don't follow grammar rules and what they say doesn't make sense. I have already unsubscribed from those channels and am learning on this magnificent channel. 👌

Hi Kevin As an English teacher, she should master the basic grammar rules. I mean adjectives never take an S they are not plural. For example: I have a two-bedroom apartment. I have an apartment with two bedrooms. In the first example, two-bedroom is an adjective which is why it doesn't take an S. Fatiha Switzerland

Hi, Kevin and Liza! i've been learning a lot with your lessons. They really improve my English and increasy my vocabulary. But I also would like to suggest you teach us about the use of the attributive noun in English like the example here in this video "raspberry preserves". The use of a noun before another noun can be very confusing sometimes for learners to understand. I myself have some difficulties in telling the difference between the use of an attributive noun and/or a noun with an appostrophe. And there are cases when both constructions are used interchangeably to mean the same thing. For example the news item headline "Biden's classified documents" or "Biden classified documents" are both seen in the news. Can you please explain why sometimes both constructions are accepted as correct, while at other times only one is possible? Thanks so much in advance!

Jams are made from one type of fruit or vegetable, whereas marmalade must use a citrus fruit in its preparation. Secondly, jams use the entire fruit by crushing, pureeing and cooking, whereas marmalades consist of the citrus peel, (not the whole fruit).

They always say, "Sounds natural." English has no gender or case, has more than 10 tenses, uses "have" in the perfect tense with intransitive stative verbs instead of the auxiliary verb "be" that German originally used - and the German version seems more logical. So I recon that English itself is unnatural and mechanical. And of course: "Don't use the word "natural" in relation to the English language.

Hello Kevin. I presume it's not been fun for you to drink coffee after you saying that it is a little bitter. The beverage is described as if tasting bad. I know that feel. But if you ask me, it's not how we describe coffee. Why? Coffee can taste many things. It is a combination of flavors rather than one single flavor. Does this sound good enough to you if I say that besides bitterness other things add up like sweetness, saltiness and acidity and sourness? Did you know that it also contains substances that prompt production of even more acidity when you get it down? I mean it nuts how little at the country level is spent on education that teachers can't afford ordering dessert at the restaurant because it's too much to pay. I presume if coffee tastes only bitter it speaks volumes to me. It's outrageous billions are thrown at supporting war but not teachers and education. Coffee that is bitter must be cheap, I really feel sorry for you. I appreciate the way you try to invite some sort of discussion. As far as coffee, you could go ahaed and also talk about how it smells. As far as I'm concerned coffee for me starts with its aroma, whether it's smoky, skunky or herby and flowery. Sometimes when it's cheap, I hope you agree, it is also soapy and earthy, not delicate at all. Then coffee must give you a mouthfeel. I've touched upon the three qualities: how it tastes, its aroma and the mouthfeel. But when you talk about coffee as only having bitterness it sounds like all coffee is a degree of bitterness. You might try choosing different varieties, like light and balanced. Don't drink the coffee that tastes like burnt rubber liquid or raw potato or something. I appreciate the work you do on this channel and hope if you go ahead and make a video that teaches how to talk about coffee it'll help many come out of their shell as you do it talking about what you're into. Take care! Coffee might go harder on you stomach than you think it does. Not only does it contain acidity it can also trigger the secretion of extra acidity by the inner organs. So do your own research on coffee and get choosy about what you get down yourself. Hope this helps.

I can't stand the red, green or yellow pepper's flavor. I hate that, they smell so weird for me. At the restaurants, I always need to ask whether there are peppers inside the meal to avoid to spit out the food! I my opinion, it smells disgusting. If someone coocks them, I have to flee as quick as possible the kitchen!

weeds aren't bad "things". Weeds are plants that interfere with gardening. That doesn't make them bad. Weeds play their role in maintaining a balance in soil and nature in general.
