As a huge fan of The Exorcist, this is just sad. I will say, Friedkin deserves the credit for bringing that film to screen, but William Peter Blatty, who wrote the original novel (and its in my opinion better sequel) deserves as much praise for the story. The movie is incredibly close to book.

Man, I can't believe that William Friedkin was in the same room as a possessed woman, her murderous bf, JonTronstitine, the Boss Baby, San Andreas Mr. Bean, Capt. Pryce from CoD 3, Satan, and Arbiter from Halo 3... And was stupid enough to not bring the camera to record it all!
@deadliteplus91883 жыл бұрын
I honestly can't believe this is the same man who directed the French Connection and the Exorcist. I honestly love the French Connection, not a big fan of the Exorcist but I respect it for what it did for the horror genre. This was such a 180 from what I expected this would be but I'm glad Jontron made this so I, and many others, would never have to experience this crap for ourselves. Great vid you two and I wanted to say I really enjoyed your previous vid about the "cheesecake vending machine" which I'm glad isn't near where I live otherwise I'd go bankrupt.

On top all all this the guy literally started out making documentaries! A big part of what the original Exorcist film is praised for is the borderline documentary style with how real a lot of the scenes look and feel despite the supernatural elements, so why does this actual documentary look like a cartoon?!

Tbf bob ross was a drill instructor that got into painting to chill, davinci did some stuff with cadavers, fransisco de goya, many more on the painting spectrum of art had something like that I'm just running out of names from the top of my head, as for writters lovecraft was a ball of concentrated fear, anger and ignorance, Stephen king I don't need to say anything about, in the music field we know there's a ton of musicians with some violent tendency that they practice privately, all in all it's still not ""common" because there's literal millions of artist that don't channel their violence through their art

I mean its pretty common knowledge that people use creativity to channel all the negativity inside into something positive. Its a pretty common conception. Ive heard several creative people say the same. Death metal bands tend to be chill people. Aristotle had his idea about tragedies being cathartic. Having a cleansing effect. Musician Steven Wilson has claimed that alot of the sad and negative themes in his music is a form of exorcism on his part and doesn't represent his day to day personality. Its a common concept and JonTron is abit douchy for being so close minded to it.
