I totally get where you’re coming from dan I don’t do videos often as one thing you forget about being a KZbinr is not just physical effect but the mental health impacts I’ve seen some tubers hate themselves due to worrying about the quality of their content but as a sufferer from mental health issues I started my channel to log my life’s journey so my grandkids will always be able to see me happy so I don’t edit my vids what you see is what you get I’ve watched you and subbed since the first ddd video and your 3 new channels and love to support you both

Didn't sound like a rant at all Dan. I applaud you for calmly telling it how it is! About time too! Nothing wrong with being upfront and honest and informing people about the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes. Also, am glad that you addressed the tax issue. Too many people only think it's work if you go out and do a 9-5 or shift work etc. Yes, there are other youtubers who get vlogs out 4 or 5 times a week and also have full time jobs but I see them getting burn out and they're half yours and Mazzy's ages. I live in a static caravan in west scotland, winters are challenging temperature wise.. i fitted a diesel heater when the energy prices shot up but on my research path i saw that loads of people used them to heat tents! So if u wanted to extend your awning use it might be something you could look into, vevor make the all in 1 units

Oh Dan thanks for this vlog and thanks for being so open with us all, trolls will always try to bring you down but the thing is they don’t know anything about you really so the assume your selling the stuff and doing something wrong , the typical saying of if they don’t know something they will make it up. I can honestly say why would you broadcast that your selling the items on if you was doing something wrong , people don’t realise that if your saying it on your vlogs your obviously doing things by the book. You’re right Dan, sadly some people just have to try and bring others down, it seems to make them feel better. If you’re an actor, you’re pretending to be someone else. That’s seen as a great thing, a talent (completely agree, of course it is). If any of those go down the line of reality tv the hate starts, KZbin the hate continues, a different thought on social media, or a different look, the hate continues. It’s awful, truly awful. The reality is it has huge repercussions on the people on the receiving end. More so though, the repercussions on themselves is far more damaging and I’ve no doubt they won’t see that. It seems easier for them to put someone down rather than look at why something is creating such a reaction from themselves. That reaction is ALWAYS about themselves or others around them. The lengths these people will go to avoid looking at themselves is unbelievable. The irony of setting up a KZbin channel, earn money from being derogatory towards you both about earning money is one big joke on them. Anyone who can’t see that vlogging your daily life is as exhausting as a socially acceptable 9-5 job has no idea. I’m a firm believer in walking in the same footsteps of others before you pass judgement. Sharing your financial situation is no one else’s business. They are not sharing theirs so why would they believe they have a right to speak about your taxes or anything else?! Let’s hope no one reports them about their earning from KZbin. I enjoy your videos, I love the relationship you both have with jp and his wife (sorry can’t remember your name). I enjoy watching you all together and I’m looking forward to seeing you all together again soon. Rest well Mazzy.

I think it's fair to say no matter how much we enjoy our work, we all have times were we feel burnt out. Lots of the content creators I follow, here and on Twitch, have all said the same. Maybe set aside 1 day a week just for yourselves? Minimal or or filming, no editing, just chill out and do as much or little as you want. Help keep it fresh. As for those who want to run down other creators, they see people being successful in there 10, 20, 30 or longer minute content and think its easy and they can do it. They don't see the filming and editing time. They don't appreciate how many years it can take to build an audience. People don't start a channel on Monday and have 100s of 1000s followers on Friday. It can take years to build an audience. Jealousy then brings out the absolute worst in people. Both take care of yourselves, you put so much in to your videos. Give yourself time to chill when needed, we'll all be here still.
