For everyone talking about this being used in Build The Earth, chances are this won't be used in our project. Quality standards for Build The Earth are much higher than what this tool seems to generate. Lots of details are missing (such as street signs, small plants, roof details, etc.), and from what I've seen online it doesn't project terrain height. Those outlines would also be inaccurate compared to satellite views and therefore have to be redone. It's definitely an awesome program though, and the scale at which it can create buildings is amazing.

I think it could still be used as a base. Yes, the quality might not be very good, but working with it is still reasonable, as you can go and adjust the build according to how it should be.

​@Greg_Bal It's not just quality, it's accuracy as well. For example, this program doesn't seem to generate terrain. If we did use this specific program as a base, we would have to hand build terrain. Terraforming is already hard and lots of areas are thousands of meters above sea level. And even if we did try to use this as a base, it doesn't seem to use the projection we use, which would mean almost everything would be generated facing the wrong way. North in-game doesn't equal North in real life for Build The Earth, most of the time. Ultimately, premade projections aren't very useful anyways with the amount of accuracy we build at. Build The Earth already has premade flat outlines (at least for my team), but they aren't parallel, and so inaccurate that they can't be used. Premade outlines aren't completely nonviable (our NYC team has them for every building), but they aren't a necessity because a decent builder can make outlines and building shells quickly anyways. I do like the idea of premade outlines for new builders especially, but there would need to be some kind of quality control, and the only real way to ensure an accurate outline is to hand make it using google earth.

It could be a great tool to use then you just could put your own personal changes in to make them look better an it might take more time to do but im sure you could learn to be more efficient in it but yk I’ve just been watching ur guy’s project from the sidelines and I glad to see people are still doing it

@@Awesomium3Well it won’t change anything. Most data is probably collected from sources like Google maps and those get updated like every year or so making it so once they finish an area unless there’s a HUGE change they won’t revisit it for one tiny house

Nah Build the Earth is likely gonna be far more accurate and detailed. It’s unlikely they’d have rural buildings with very much detail. And unique building types like monuments might not exist

It was super cool! (My aunt and I were in Vegas for a few days, before we went out to the bulk of the trip at the Grand Canyon. I got a day trip to see the Hoover Dam, because it was both really cool, and I thing I could tell my engineer dad about, when I got home. Grand Canyon, also very cool, but I know no geologists.)
