hello, quick question! did this person pass the exam? the driver pull up in a yellow line a hit the kerb, is that an automatic fail? and if in the test you have a navigation satanav or you are following just a voice? thank you!!

Hitting a curb depends on how you hit it if you mount pavement it’s a fail if you just touch curb you would probably get a minor and it’s 50 50 weather you will be following sat nav or it maybe follow road signs for 20 mins then examiner will give you instructions for last 20

Hello Veronica, As Jay explained, it will depend on the circumstances around hitting the kerb to determine if it’s a serious fault or a driver fault. Eg at what speed, did you mount the kerb, were people nearby, etc. The driving test takes between 30-40 minutes and includes 1 manoeuvre, sometimes the emergency stop as well. 20 minutes out of this will be independent driving which could be following road signs or driving with the satnav. The examiner will give you instructions for the remaining time. I hope this helps.

Hi Why did the driver use the right lane for the second roundabout? Also I noticed he /she didn't signal right when approaching the second roundabout before signalling left in exit

@@obiaffamefuna603 In this particular route, the pupil was asked to turn right at all 3 roundabouts, you need the right lane to turn right unless road markings tell you different. I hope this answers your question.

It is advisable to do the speed limit if it’s safe to do so. Driving slow can cause other road users to overtake and attempt risky manoeuvres. You may fail your test for constantly going 30mph on a 40mph road.
