Fan version is just normal size. Only size up if you buying player version

M should be fine. If for example you wear S for fan version, get a size bigger for player version

I usually size up one on DHgate for the fan versions. Should I size up twice for the player version or is it the same as the fan?

No it's not the same as the fan, for player version get a size up or 2 sizes up to be extra safe.
