Sir Bobby Charlton and Bill Foulkes were the only survivors from the pre Munich Manchester United team that perished in the Munich air disaster on 6 February 1958 for this second leg of the 1968 European Cup 2nd leg at the Bernabeau Stadium. United had won the first leg at Old Trafford but then found themselves 3-1 down but then fought back courageously to earn a 3-3 draw.Bill Foulkes scored one of those goals and United were through to the final to face Benfica at Wembley. Francisco Gento,who had played in Real Madrid's first five European Cup wins from 1956-1960 and then in 1966,but at 35 was playing what would have been his last European Cup match with Manchester United at the Bernabeau Stadium.

George Best probably made twice as many goals as he scored. He is remembered as being selfish and failing to pass the ball - and he could be when on a dribbling run.. But he was a great passer of the ball too.

Real Madrid had 6 titles back then in 1968. HEEEEEY 6 titles back then. There is no clubs today execpt Milan that have more than 5 titles.

I was at that match. No seats just concrete steps to sit on behind the goals; had to pay for rubber cushions. Gento was the the star of old for Madrid, Amancio the new idol. Guardia Civil knocked shit out of United fans in the end where the Madrid own goal was scored in the first half. At half time we thought it was all over. At the end we were incredulous, some of us threw the rubber cushions in the air to celebrate. sorry to the fans below! Madrilenos were class before and after the match.

Its very posibile. UCL 2011 was stolen from Real in semi-finals against Barcelona (Pepe red card and Higuain dissalowed goal on camp nou). In Euro 2012 the most dominate players are from Real Madrid. Its very posibile that Real will won their 10th title.
