Van Dijk and Arnold are amazing players. The problem is nobody listens to Don Carlo Ancelotti. You need to know how to play with and without the ball. Real Madrid doesn’t need to shoot 30 times to score. They put defenders in tough calls like this constantly, that takes a toll on the adversary too and sometimes that’s all they need, 1 mistake from the adversary. As a Spanish person who has seen prime Barcelona and hated them and loved them for their beautiful gameplay, I get that this RM is not the most appealing team to see. But omfg such an effective team and of course, Cortois is not a decoration but the best goalkeeper we could have. The first UCL I’ve seen RM was in 1998 against Juventus. This one is by far my favorite one because it felt like a team against all odds, being close to us, the people that support them and not a galácticos corporation or a winning marketing team.

To people who are saying Trent is better going forward, yeah he is. He's one of the best attacking right backs but that in itself is an oxymoron. It's a defensive error. Let's face it. He had a really good game but that one slip was pretty costly. The amount of salt from Jamie is priceless. I'm loving this more and more. How he's saying vinicius was handled well throughout the game is a joke. He wasn't. He made a lot of good runs and actually ended up scoring the winning goal in a CL final. Marked right throughout the game? Not really. Madrid deserved this. Beating the top 3 premier league teams and the top team in the 5th ranked team in a row is EXCEPTIONAL.
